Here's a head scratcher. Never seen another one like it. It seems it was made in Paris, France, for
an instrument manufacturing owner from Hamilton Ontario, Canada..
Looks like late 1800's or possibly a little later ? Not interested in the drum,
but i just thought it would be cool to find out a little more about this cool old snare drum !
Well that certainly is the same company. My guess is that they did personal engravings
for their customers ? Pretty resourceful that you actually found a similar snare drum !
It's also looking like the time frame for these instruments were the late 1800's.

So this pair of Dudes must have been real characters..
" Herr Schoot, the Drum Demon, was well known in the eastern states of Australia for his recreations of battle scenes and other catastrophes. His act comprised over 20 drums and other percussive devices; the most famous of Twentyman's performances was a recreation of a train crash at Warrnambool. Twentyman's act was very similar to that of Pietro Canna. Canna performed the battle of Tel-el-Kebir on up to 30 drums of different sizes at the 1884 Jubilee Exhibition" .
Their 'Train Wreck' would have been worthy of a listen.. (although I have unwittingly pulled off a few of those on just a 4 piece kit) ....
