1940s Slingerland Radio King

This drum needs an original strainer and a good cleaning - but it's full of vintage "mojo!" Walking

That is beautiful already. I would love one of those deeper shelled radio kings. Wow! Mine are 51/2". That drum has amazing mojo.

I love the jazz era

The 7" depth is perfect in my opinion! This one has one of those nice, thick shells too. It sounds amazing!

This drum was missing the strainer as well as the "gate" part. It also has a few extra holes from a different strainer.

I've attached a picture from google images of what the missing parts look like - hope this helps!

ok, now I understand, but mine have holes on the opposite side to the strainer, I found this very old radio king and not explain those holes, maybe extra holes?

Wow, that's a very cool drum! I love how the WMP has yellowed.

Yes, those definitely look like muffler holes. It's hard to tell if they're original from the photo (and I'm certainly no expert), but it looks like they're for a muffler of some sort.

thanks for your answers, indeed I wondered if there was a rare model with the muffler in that position, because the holes are just one bigger in the middle and two smaller side, or maybe if someone has put it later
