For Remo Fiberskyn 3 fans.............

Hi All,

I went to order a Fiberskyn 3 FA Powerstroke 3 bass drum head at musiciansfriend.com, and to my great surprise they are currently 25% off this month, but I'm not sure for how long. The promotion code is "MARCH25".

I was pleasantly surprised, because these are very expensive bass drum heads. With the 25% off, it brought it down to a normal amount LOL. I ordered an 18", and the normal price is $50! Got it down to $37.50 with the promotion, which is more reasonable for a bass drum head.

Anyway, just wanted to pass it on if you've been looking to order some of these heads, the time is ripe!

You have to shop around for the best price. I used Amazon to purchase an 18" Fiberskyn P3 for my Dixon bass last year, and it led me to several retailers to compare prices. This one from The Chicago Music Exchange was the best price at $36.

Check out CME's site. Some nice vintage stuff pops up there. Pretty good prices on heads and they give you a cool logo badge for your cases...

I've purchased from CDE before and the service is good. In fact, I think the snare bridge parts for my blue RC snare came from them...

Good to know about the sale.

It would be cool to have a thread as a sticky for great retail deals folks see from time to time. Although that could just mean I spend more money on things I didn't know I "had" to have!

I have, and I've been to their store in person. Lots of great stuff indeed.

They are right next door via a connecting hallway and are called "Chicago Drum Exchange".

You may know this already, but reverb.com is owned and operated by Chicago Music Exchange.
