It sounds like jim`s vocal is coming in late and the blend isn`t blending when he introduces the drums.

And that last cymbal crash is on one of the next measure and then back on the hats on two. The vocals were trying to come in on one (late) which was making me feel like I was playing the fill slow... so I got to just chill and play the damn thing in four beats... crash the cymbal and get back in the groove. The second time it`s played in the song the vocal comes in at the same time. I don`t do 4`s man, so it prolly is in a one anna two anna three anna four anna that`s the End Zone cuz the Pats are gonna win.

Btw, the song is in 4/4 like most pop songs. The fill need not be the exact notes the drummer played as long as long as it's in 4/4 time. But it's sort of a signature fill, so I would play it as close as possible.

Jim you'll get it. Like many others I learned by hearing it over and over. Simple stuff can sometimes be hard to learn! If you listen to some live versions (that are not overdubbed with the original) the drummer changes it a bit each time. Never play it the same way twice. :-)

When I have problems like this I try to write it down, listening to the the song at slow speed, take it one measure at a time. Break it down note for note until I understand it. Then play what I have written, very slow until I get it down, speed comes once you know it. I just recently did that on Led Zepplins Rock and Roll, learning the basic grove ( which is difficult to me). Hope this helps.
And one more thing, you need to have better respect for yourself. If you tell people your not a good drummer then how can you convince yourself? Change that to Im still learning instead of Im a bad drummer. I speak with experience here, went through the same thing.
