Hi Glaze

Nice snare, however I do believe that this is not a Duco as they are 2-toned.

Here is a picture of a black and gold Duco snare from my collection from pictures when I got it during a Bay auction, sorry I don't have any other pictures to share from my iPad. I am sure one of our othe gurus will give some more insight on the drum color.

The seller is correct. Duco means dupont color. most sellers would list it as a black lacquer.
