Just beautiful! Didn't know the small lugs were a special order thing. Thanks for that tidbit. of info. Wood hoops really add to the beauty. Does the bass have small BT lugs or are they the larger ones? Enjoy!

Thanks so much...The bass drum has the large ones mate..Bass has standard....toms have the special order small...it sounds awesome...and a lot lighter with he wooden hoops

What a stunningly beautiful kit. Do you know if the hoops on your kick and toms were originally black, and then refinished natural? Or are they original? I've got a 14x26 virgin with an aluminum cloud badge in WMP, but the hoops are black and very scuffed and chipped. I'm wondering if it would be better to repaint them black or refinish them natural. I really love the way they look on your kit, but I haven't seen it very often.

Yes I have only ever seen one before, apparently has something to do with materials just after the war..

Hi Diamond, thanks for the info. Interesting that your hoops are original. I'll probably keep mine black to match the era of the drum. But man, I really do like the look of the natural wood on the aged WMP. Very warm and tasty.

Here is an older picture that I was able to dig up. I'll need to get some updated shots. They are 5.5x14 maple oval badge, 16x16 and 16x18 floor toms, and the 14x26 kick. The tom started life as a 12x14. The guy I bought them from had the drum cut to 10x14 by a drum manufacturer he knew back in the 80's I believe. It's an oddity, but I like it, and it was a quality job. The drum on the right is a 18x20 oval badge cocktail drum setup as a floor tom. I'm missing the wood hoop and a couple brackets on the cocktail drum, and obviously the snare and cocktail are from a later era. And one of these days I'll get around to putting a proper head on the front of the kick. Aside from that, it's really fun playable kit. :)
