From Father-42

Oh... suprising... "The further to forest, the partisans are fatter..." :)Is it one from real OEM MIJ range??

This is a Pearl Fiberglass kit and you can find the finish in old Pearl catalog from the 70's.

From Pearl DLX

I think they offered this finish a couple of years back in the 70's. And Mapex actually had a snare with this finish in the 90's!! It is not true that the finish is just offered in Europe because i bought a kit with this finish from Australia last year.

Look for a DW kit in that finish in the near future....

Keep fixing them up...

I was going to call it the King Tut finish until I read further.

Close but no sigar, its called Egyptian finish :) Why a drum company from Japan made Egyptian finish on their drums make no sense..but they are cool. The cover on the drums are metal and the drums are the heaviest drums i have!

Because i found the thread yesterday and it had my pics of my kit. Thought it might be interesting for people knowing what it was and the sizes of it. :)
