Krut Hi-hats

Loading...

I just ordered some Krut hi-hats. I know most everything I have read said they are crappy sounding cymbals, lol. I was intrigued that they are vintage and made in England and only $35 shipped. How bad can they really be :)

:) I had some too. I had them on a crash and bang kit that I set up for my kids friends to beat on. Sacrificial lamb to protect my vintage drums. Kids are grown and I can’t remember what I did with those cymbals. They were thrash can lids... and I am not picky! :). Enjoy!!!

I will be sure to put a demo up on YouTube of their awesomeness :) Supposed to get them tomorrow.

Here is a demo of the Krut "Special" hi-hats. I may be crazy...but I kinda like their dark/trashy sound :) [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmCOlNJEHJU"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmCOlNJEHJU[/ame]

Those Krut "Special" hi-hats sound nice & not as trashy as I was expecting. There's something in their B15 (?) alloy that's interesting to say the least. I've had a few & one that I regret selling, an 18" crash with an intense wash, that was recorded on this gig here (the crash on my left). Great playing! That crash sounds pretty nice as well! I was surprised with the Krut hats. They still have a trashy sound but not "too trashy", lol. Every once and a while you can hear a certain tone/note that is kinda weird...kinda like a ring or something. It is quiet enough not to come through the mix.
