I have to agree. Not worth the price. My apologies to everyone as I posted the original information. I just got mine and I am not happy at all, and as a matter of fact quite disappointed. He could have done so much more and it really leaves a lot to be desired. Rob, please. Write a book for us.

My copy should be arriving shortly. While I'm already prepared for disappointment, I hope this book will whet my appetite for a better MIJ Stencil book. At least I ordered the least expensive copy!

HOLD OFF On Ordering, please read posts on page 2. I found this on Facebook. Not sure if anyone has a copy or not? I ordered it an will get it in a few weeks, will post my thoughts then. I always look for books about the various companies, etc and am hoping it as useful as the books Rob Cook has written and published. Michael

Hello. This is Marc Patch, I wrote this book and have seen responses all over the place. I wan't to clarify what this book is. It is a 5" x 8" book, about 45 pages, it is a list of over 150 brand names of vintage Japanese drums, there are some 100 pictures of badges and hardware to help identify which drums were made by who. This is not a large extensive Rob Cook style book with deep inside information. This is a simple small book with as much verified information as I could find and I only used pictures that I own and I did not steal from the internet. To those who feel ripped off, I am sorry, but I did make a preview available and was completely honest about what was in it. Cook and Cangany write great books, but they don't seem to be as interested in stencil drums, and I am, thus the book. You can let me know what you do and don't like about the book, I am not thin skinned and can handle criticism. I also want to learn more, I know there is tons of stuff out there to uncover. To those who bought a book, I thank you. To those who are disappointed in the book, I'm sorry. To those who are interested, look at the preview and ask me or other purchasers questions. Marc Patch

Hi Marc!

Welcome to the forum and thanks for taking the time to clarify what your book is/is not.

My copy just arrived. While more information is hard to come by, I think you did an overall good job. I ordered the least expensive copy. My biggest complaint would be the quality of the images, but this may go hand-in-hand with the version I purchased. Still, it is a good first attempt and I'm glad I ordered it!

Thank you for buying the book and giving me feedback, I do appreciate it. I tried to make the book as inexpensively as possible and so the book was small and the paper was of lesser quality. So if there is a revision down the road I will address these issues. Thanks again. Marc
