Should I drill for rivets?

This is interesting...I think the guy has a good idea.

I've used a Camco two-arm sizzler for decades, primarily because I couldn't afford additional cymbals. Do you guys have any opinions about these?

I seem to remember there being an additional sentence at the bottom of the catalog pages that offered the option of having rivets factory-installed.

My Zildjian cats show cymbals with rivets. They are "sizzle" cymbals. Definitely factory sizzles.

I tried one of those 35 years ago and while they worked, the whole thing, including the rivets was aluminum, and I didn't like the sound of it on account of that. It wouldn't take much to make a brass one and I can't imagine why it wouldn't sound good.

They are brass. He uses brass rivets in the head. The arms are aluminum.
