Spur Lok Hi Hat Repair

Hello, looking for advice on how best to repair the linkage to this spur lok. Thank you!

I'm sure that are others that can offer repair tips. For myself, with this issue, I'd just seek out another footboard with linkage attached. Here are two on eBay right now...

Hmmmm, never even considered that. Though I will still need to remove the rivet from the rod, once that is removed all I would really is the linkage...Thanks, Mark, an excellent idea.

could also use a piece of steel bar stock, cut it right length, dill hole in each end, yes you would need to redo the rivets, but it shouldn't break again.

Forgot to mention that the U-shaped linkage piece is held on with the lower rod. You just use a wrench or pliers to hold the linkage from moving and then unscrew the rod from it. After you pull out the rod, you can clean all the old grease from the spring, relube, assemble and you're good to go. Only takes a little bit of mechanical aptitude to figure it all out! I've done this dozens of times!
