Seeking plastic lug for Ludwig Standard snare

Another thought...if it is indeed plastic, if one has failed the others are right behind at some point. I know this by experience. I've replaced my plastic bowtie lugs with conventional metal lugs so that I can play them without fear of breaking the other lugs. I keep the plastic ones tucked away for the sake of future originality.

Can you tell us the serial number and/or date stamp on yours? I'd like to document it. Thanks.

Check out eBay item 122746488324

8 Standard snare drum lugs for $25 BIN. May just be what you need to get your drum back in shape.

Thanks to all of you for your responses. Something else to note: the lugs I've seen for sale on Ebay are all stamped 2212. My has no such markings.

The lug material reminds me of the old "chrome" model car parts.

Serial number is 83756, which I believe places the manufacture date at 1964-65. Thoughts?

Beautiful shape for a 50-year-old drum.

The Standard line was around in the very late 60's/early 70's. They dipped into the serial number range of some preceding drums. You are correct in that 83756 would normally be 64/65 for the Classic line. Thanks for the serial number info.

Here's a photo of the original plastic lug (right) and the metal replacement I received via Ebay (left). The whole spacing is only slightly different -- maybe 1/16 inch.
