Thought I would share with you all....
My latest Trixon, It has the rare big sized bass drum 20 1/4 x length 28 3/4.
Also it has the Lionel Hampton 20" floor tom with the unusual leg fitting,
Also a good match for my late 50's Luxus...

Beautiful set!! Love the wrap!! How many different sized bass drums are in the Speedfire line?
Cheers
Hi Grantro,
hows you mate?
The Speedfire came in 2 sizes....this large size and the other one is:
18 3/4 x smaller 26"....this size you can sometimes get the spare heads but the larger size are very rare..
The new Speedfire also has the mounting socket for the support arm to attach it to the bass drum...don't see many of these so well pleased...
May I ask you a question? You obviously love these drums and that's fine, but can you actually play them?
The reason I ask is, in a conversation I had with Kenney Jones years ago, he told me he had a Speedfire set in The Small Faces, and it fell apart completely in a matter of weeks. The lugs broke off and he wound up tossing the whole set in the trash. He then bought a Ludwig set from Brian Bennett that he still owns.
Mr Diamond,
They are fantastic examples of late 50's style and architecture.
Wonderful design elements.
Does the Floor Tom have leg bracket mounts?
I do not see any mounts for the legs.
Beautiful stuff man.

Hi mate, I have played all my kits live mate, the Lionel Hampton floor tom is not good to gig as the legs are only at one height, but the others are fine as long as you put a pillow inside the large bass drum, the larger sized speedfire with the full rack of toms isn't a good one for playing live due to all the tom toms and not good for classic rock n roll... Ive toured germany with one of mine as shown in the picture with just the single rack and all was fine (but with a usual floor tom)
Would love to see a pic of Kenny and a speedfire, do you have one?
I will post up a pic of the gigging set with the usual floor tom

Hi, thanks for that and glad you like it too...
The floor tom doesnt have any leg mounts.. they are u shaped legs and just slot directly into the teardrop lugs, so subsequently you cannot adjust the height.
Thanks again...

Unfortunately, I don't have a photo of Kenney with those drums. They didn't last long. He said they fell apart within weeks and he tossed them in the trash. He said, "I bought those Trixons with the tank wheel bass drum."
