Temptation: Olympic set

Guest
Loading...

Check these drums out; a refurbished Olympic set in purple sparkle. The floor tom is an add-on made to match the rest of the set. The price is $569 or B/O. I'm not very familiar with Olympic drums, but weren't they Premier's budget line? Can anyone clarify? Are they worth the price? Thanks.

This is a tough one. They are beautiful sounding drums, assuming they are original, good condition, no mods, etc, but because they have been re done, its a guessing game. Should have left them alone I think.

Plus a 6 lug bass drum, but why purple?..How about,blue or red sparkle..black or white?...not purple.Hurting

I,d take them for a rehearsal kit only because they sound great..good luck

Wayne...The seller states that the drums were a basket case that were restored, so I have no idea of any other mods. I like purple sparkle and find the usual red, blue, silver, etc. to be a bit boring at this point in many cases. If you like those common colors, that's fine.

I'm thinking that what I would offer for these drums would be much lower than the seller would care to take. Guess I'll pass. I need another drumset like a hole in my head anyway, and I'm running out of room!

Now, these, I'd buy in a heartbeat, if the price wasn't in the stratosphere: all original and in amazing condition. I could have my '64s recovered purple actually. I haven't decided on a color yet.
