Ludwig Classic Maple 70's Snare ID/insights

This one is up for sale near me & I'd love to hear your opinions, insights, stories etc. Is it a PITA to find snare wires for a P-87? It's listed at the equivalent of 280 US. Thanks all!

This is probably a rock concert snare from around 1980. It's probably a great sounding hard rock backbeat snare as it should have lots of power and volume. It's a six ply shell and it was mostly likely made between 1980-1984. Is the price right? I would guess maybe $300-$400 would be an average price but I could be off on that.

Thanks for the input wflkurt. You're pretty spot on prise-wise. He's asking 350 Canadian, so 278 US, but it's been up for sale for a while so so I figure I could snag it for around 250.

Hey FunkyP the snare butt and snare wires are an easy change out. Here's a link that I posted in showing my Coliseum mod. No drillin' - No fillin'!!! Only a couple of bucks for the part plus what ever snares you buy. Also that outer ply looks like mahogany... I didn't know that was available s a finish finish ply.
