very vintage german drumset... but how old?

Yes, after researching today I think this kit is from the late 30's, early 40's.Snare has the silk steel-wounded snares on it.

There are two types of that badge that I know of, I think the one you have is the latter. The oval one I have not dated but I think the throw it has is earlier.

Don`t hold me to that though.

After "Lefima" run away from Markneukirchen in 1961 to West Germany their drum factory was nationalized and rename to Tacton which was closed in 1970 and transfered to Weißenfels to merge with Trowa.

As written higher modern Lefima is still on the market.

Drum set on pic is from early 40's for me.

Sonor didn't say much, they think the kit is from the 30's - 40's... and gave me a wikipedia link for Lefima for more info......tssssss
