Ludwig Cymbal Tilter

Loading...

I recently purchased a vintage Ludwig flat base cymbal stand but, the tilter was not original. Would anyone have one to sell? Thank you very much.

Thanks very much for responding amosguy! The tilter is the small piece that screws onto the top of the rod thus allowing the cymbal to change angles or tilt. I'm sorry I can't send pictures. I don't even own a digital camera. Thanks again, sir. much appreciated!

Still could use a working order Ludwig cymbal tilter for a Ludwig flat base stand. Thanks VERY much, guys.

Brian,

To my knowledge, I don't believe that the tilter was offered as a separate item. I'm not sure if they were press-fit or how they were attached to the upper rod.

A picture of what you are needing would help for sure. Even if it's a picture of one that you see on the net somewhere. WFL/Ludwig did have some separate tilters. One common version was on the 50's stands that were probably made by W&A. They also made them for other manufacturers as well. I am attaching an image of one from the '51 WFL catalog. It's a 1395 model. It also shows up through the '64 catalog. Usually seen in nickel finish. In the '67 Ludwig catalog, they show the 1395-1. It is different from the other. I have one each of these, but are currently using both. The earlier one is more commonly seen. Hope this helps.

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
