Any of you Sonor guys have any idea how much a Sonor teardrop kit like this is worth? It has a 13,13,16,20, seems to be in great condition and all original, thanks.

They are in demand today,...people are going by condition and originality. A date stamp would help because only 70`s drops had metal hoop on the BD and that`s a mid to late 60`s wrap.

SONOR stored shells and It completely possible with metal hoops, if the date stamp is like 65,66, 67, 68, now way with the metal hoops. 69 to 72 anything could be put together.

If it helps, SONOR old drops and the new vintage series are running head to head with prices on the e-bay.

So, I went ahead and bought the kit, here's the scoop. The 8x13 tom and 14x16 floor are 3ply shells with rings, the 9x13 tom and 14x20 kick are 6ply shells with no rings. The badges on all toms are the split kind that says Made in Western Germany, the kick is a solid badge that says Made in Germany.

JR!

I fixed the orientation of your pics .. but .. you really need to take/attach them in a different way if possible so they will enlarge when clicked on ... :) I like the SONOR'S by the way!

Is there a three digit date stamp inside each drum. They fade so look closely ?

Tommy, now we can`t enlarge them. Before, I just turned the monitor.

Thanks Tommy, but Oddball is right, they won't enlarge.

I could not find any dates stamped in any of the drums.

OB!

Well, that's because those pics are in the wrong format. Notice they say "Attached Images", but should say/be "Attached Thumbnails". Attached Thumbnails are the images that enlarge when clicked on. All I did was take exactly what he had and rotate them. Nothing else was changed or modified. Take note that his pic in the 1st post is an Attached Thumbnail, thus it will and does enlarge when clicked. Attached Images do not! Don't know why those pics are in a different format though!
