I love how it says that the "re-edging" does not change the sound.........actually yes it does. And I hate when the listing shows a snare or something that doesn't come with the auction. If it doesn't come with it why show it??? DOH

Exactly.

By the way, what was the BIN?

If insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results, is it insane to practice?

Cool finish. What year were those made?

I didn't see the BIN but it appears he has no reserve so he'll have to sell, whatever the bid gets to.

The trouble with living in Canada is the hasstle of shipping @#$%*@@!

I don't know how many times I've clicked on something lately to find "no shipping to Canada - you know that country way up there in the North."

Nice drums !!!

This is the set you've been waiting for ...

Vintage Ludwig Standard Drums Set

in an extremely High Gloss RUBY STRATA Finish ...

with NO FADE

I took these apart and was amazed to find how nice they are

from way inside ...

all the way to the outer regions of their complete beauty !!!

( Floor Tom has scuffs that didn't show up in the photos ... and can't be seen from a few feet away )

While they were apart ...

I covered the Lug Springs with Heat Shrink Tubing,

Polished all the Lugs (and inserts), Tension Rods (and washers),

added washers between the Lugs and the Shells

(for less Mass Contact ... same with the Leg Mounts),

Re-Edged all of them ... moving the contact area slightly inwards,

this allows for easier tuning and a Deeper, Rounder, and Richer Tone ...

while still letting you get all of the Higher, Jazz & Surf Tones as well ...

and does NOT change the built in Ludwig Sound !!!

I went the extra mile, and gave the Shell Tom a RIMS Mount,

and the Floor Tom a set of those Fancy Asian Rubber Boots,

New Remo SMOOTH WHITE Emperors on the Toms (top side only)

Slightly used Remo COATED Ambassadors (on the bottom)

almost new Remo Power Stroke 3 on the batter side of the Bass Drum,

and you can see the Front Head in the Photos !!!

(there is a very small hole just above the middle of that head ... like a Pin Hole)

This auction is for the :

9 X 13 Shell Tom

16 X 16 Floor Tom

14 X 22 Bass Drum

Tom Mount / Cymbal Stand

THAT'S IT !!!

The two different Snares you see in the photos ...

can each be sold to the winner of this auction for a price !!!

(more than $100.00 ... less than $300.00 ... EACH )

I know what you mean! But I've had quite a bit of luck getting stuff shipped to me in Toronto, even when the listing said "no international bidders." If you shoot off a quick e-mail before bidding, most sellers will agree to ship to Canada. The only time I don't bother asking is when the listing says "don't even ask!" :)

Kits:

Wow! I love looking at those close-up pictures of the snares that don't even come with it. (Well, unless I want to pay top-dollar for them after winning the auction...)
