My apology Mike, thanks for identifying the Gobo head. I also have a Rogers Two-way clamp that has to be 50 years old and in great shape. The two-way clamp was to be my next item to be identified. You guys are sharp!

Thanks

Hi all,

Can someone identify this Vintage Rogers plate and it’s use?

Looks like a blank plate, but I've never seen those protrusions underneath, nor the spring-loaded screws, or have any clue what they'd be used for.

Vintage kits:
1969 Rogers Holiday - black diamond pearl (20/16/13/12)
196x Star (Lyra/Majestic) - blue sparkle pearl (22/14/13) Restoration Project
1987 Pearl KC-3500 - jet black (22/16/13/12)
Not-so-vintage kits:
2007 Hart Dynamics Professional 6.4 e-kit / Roland TDW-20
Snares:
60s Gretsch 5x14 maple WMP / 68 Ludwig 5x14 Supraphonic / 93 Pearl 3x14 Free Floating brass piccolo / 60s Star (Lyra) 5x14 luan blue sparkle pearl / 87 Pearl 6.5x14 steel

You and me both Vater, what was Rogers thinking?

Okay, now that's a good one. I've seen blank Rogers swivo plates before, but not one of those. It certainly looks like a clip mount for timbales, concert toms, or a clip-on leg rest (for parade drums). I bet one of our Rogers experts could identify readily, but I'll start looking through my Rogers Parts catalogs.

I posted these photos on one of the FB Rogers groups, and no surprise, I got an answer within minutes. It's a mounting bracket for a Rogers timbale. Check the attached photo at the bottom of this thread.
