Vintage Yamaha YD 700
700 or 7000?
I think we have some vintage flyers posted. Do a search and see what you find.
And welcome!

Very nice. Beautiful condition.
It could also be a bit later then 71 (since these don't have the clip on style toms but the later hexagonal rods. The precdecesor of the ball mount tom arm.
In this condition without matching snare anywhere between 350-850. Going on to prices from recent actual salss on sites as ebay, reverb and such.
Nice kit. They look like regular triple flange hoops in the photos. So if this is a genuine YD-700 then the hoops have been swapped out (see photo for the YD-700 hoop). The bass drum tension rods are not original and it looks like the floor tom leg brackets have replacement wing screws (they are known to strip out easily). Add to that it has been re-wrapped and I think it's a $300-400 set. The snare looks beautiful. I have one of these and they are exceptional. Not sure of the value but if someone needed one to complete a kit then I guess $200-300 wouldn't be out of the question
Never seen these machines hoops before...
An interesting kit but with so many deviations from stock, the value to collectors is low.
Now, for the player, this could be a great kit, but you can't expect top dollar for it.
I also have a chrome SDM5 with my D20 kit and it sounds great!

Thanks Andrew for your comment, hoops on toms are from beginning as they are, tension rods on bass drum incl. hoop and wing screws were exchanged and of course drums were re-wrapped because an original golden wrap was very sensitive and scratched :( - see pics !!!
I have to say the original wrap didn't look too bad but I don't mind some imperfections if it means keeping it original. That said the wrap you chose to recover looks nice and suits it.
The party piece of the YD-700 was those machined hoops so I think your kit is the equivalent of the D22, possibly a YD-200 or something. Very good quality kit.
I tried to buy this gold kit a few years ago but it didn't come together for some reason. It's the same as yours and the wrap was far worse. I've had a few of these kits and currently own a D20 from around the same vintage (69-71 at a guess). It is outstanding.
