So I read a post from a poster that has this kit which I have as well. Though I have more pieces. It all has the Zola coating and the finish is in good to excellent condition on all drums, the shells are the same.

1 14" x 22" kick

1 6 1/2" x 10 ct

1 8" x 12" ct

1 9" x 13" ct

1 10" x 14" ct

1 12" x 15" ct

1 14" x 16" ct

1 16" x 16" ct

1 16" x 18" ct

1 5" x 14" snare ( to which the shell is only original)

1 Titan Hi Hat stand

1 Titan Ride stand

2 Titan cymbal stands

3 Titan Ct stands

Some of the ct stands have a little rust on the legs, all the drum hardware polishes out beautifully but has some pitting.

Any Idea what i Have and its worth? I will have pictures this weekend.

Thanks

Yes.

You have:

1 14" x 22" kick

1 6 1/2" x 10 ct

1 8" x 12" ct

1 9" x 13" ct

1 10" x 14" ct

1 12" x 15" ct

1 14" x 16" ct

1 16" x 16" ct

1 16" x 18" ct

1 5" x 14" snare ( to which the shell is only original)

1 Titan Hi Hat stand

1 Titan Ride stand

2 Titan cymbal stands

3 Titan Ct stands

...all with Zola coat insides. You've also got some stands.

Boy, you should do something about that memory of yours.

As far as value...pics will determine that.

Indeed, pics would help because, we don't know what the wrap finish is, and we don't know if they are all concert toms (i.e. no bottom heads) or conventional toms.

Imperial Stars were one of Tamas first big sellers. They have the reinforcing rings in the shells. The shells are really just luan shells, but the zola-coat improved the sound of the shell and the edges were better than Japanese brands previous. They make nice 'player' kits. They generally aren't very expensive or sought-after, as more top-shelf models (such as the Superstars and old ArtStars) came out a few years later in Tama's history.

But they are generally respectable, good-sounding older drums....[/COLOR]

I agree with Jaye. I used to have a monster ImperialStar kit. Twin 24's, 8-18 all double headed - titan hardware. Very neat kit. Mine was white. I don't miss the kit, but I did enjoy it while it was around. They don't go for much, but they do have a 'pop' when struck. Copeland played 'em for years (Stewart, not Aaron). Those snares were (and still are) great old metal snares. The 80's version was outstanding.

Later versions are thicker and don't have re-rings...

I honestly didn't know that. Cool. Thanks for that one. I thought they were all the no-rering design. I really do love this forum!

I have an Imperialstar set (Midnight Blue) in an octa-plus config. Two of the toms have re-rings and the rest do not. The guy I bought them from added the rest of the drums later. I need to look again to check the floor and kicks...
