Various MIJ hardware

I'm in the middle of restoring a Star 4-piece kit (see link in my sig for ongoing thread) and I'm in need of several parts which I've listed below. I'm not too concerned with keeping this kit as original as possible; I'm more concerned with keeping costs low while making it a decent looking players' kit. For instance, I could easily replace all the lug inserts with ones that have standard-sized threads and then buy all new tension rods, but I'd prefer to find the correct rods since the kit has nearly all the lug inserts and half the tension rods already.

22" bass:

(1) black metal hoop

(2) blue sparkle hoop inlays (5/8" I think)

14" floor tom:

(2) triple-flanged hoops (6-hole)

(6) tension rods

(1) lug insert & spring

13" rack tom:

(1) triple-flanged hoop (6-hole)

(6) tension rods

(2) lug inserts

14" snare

(1) triple-flanged snare-side hoop (8-hole)

(8) tension rods

(1) snare strainer/throw (see image for hole pattern)

(1) butt plate

(1) internal muffler (lever-type)

(1) baseball bat muffler

Also, I could use a handful of lug mounting screws; I purchased some at Lowes but I don't think they have the same thread pattern/pitch as the originals.

Thanks in advance everyone. I'll try to get some more detail on some of these parts as well, like tension rod length, mounting hole measurements, etc.

Hi Vater!

What length tension rods do you need? Proper measurement is from below the collar to the end of the rod, NOT the total length of the tension rod.

Hi Vater!

With regards to the BB muffler, are you referring to the MIJ version? Picture attached from the Star-Tama 1966 catalog.

Here's a pic of the 3 different rods I have. I believe the far left (1 3/4") is a different Star brand (Mica or Stewart I think), and the others are from this Lyra/Majestic kit...and could possibly be aftermarket. Middle (1 5/8") is for snare & rack tom, right (2 1/2") is for floor tom. Not concerned about keeping original, as long as the threads are correct.

That has to be it! The strainer and butt are identical to mine. Do you have one of these?
