Hi everyone my first post was a disaster, apologies, im having difficulty identifing this kit, range and year I know it's Taiwan made that's all I know.. wondering if anyone has any information The could enlighten me with.. Thanks..
slingerland
Early 70's they did a copper one like it good players kit
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp
once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
Far from early 70's, that's a Music Yo kit, definitely overseas!
I was about to say the same thing...that kit showed up around 2000 I believe. From what I can see in the picture, the badge looks like a Niles badge...but no "Niles" on it, which MIGHT indicate a Spirit kit from the late 80's - early '90's...but from that hardware, my guess is a MusicYo kit.
1967 Ludwig Supraphonic 5 x 14
1976 Ludwig Acrolite 5 x 14
1966 Ludwig Pioneer 5 x 14
66-'67-ish Slingerland orphan project 20/13 (original champagne sparkling pearl)
Mid-60's Slingerland Gene Krupa COB Sound King 5 x 14
Mid-50's Slingerland tenor-to-floor tom resto/conversion project
Early 50's Slingerland Marcher resto project
Pork Pie 6.5 x 14 Big Black
Zildjians
I would also say these are MIT 2000 era drums. The Spirit drums used Pearl-style mounts and the floor toms still used the 590 shell base for the legs. HSS-era drums also used Pearl-style mounts and generally used the "Mickey Mouse" ear wing screws.
The bottom line is that it's a decent enough kit for beginner or intermediate use, provided they sell for a reasonable price...meaning less than $500!

Agree with the others. Are the serial numbers all relatively close. Post a serial number. That could help verify the year.
Music, yo, kit ?? That was funny.
