From Ludwig-dude

Mitch played Premier in the early part of his career with Jimi, then switched to Ludwig, a silver sparkle set, then two different black panther sets, then switched to Grestch.

Thanks for clearing that up!

Incidentally, that's a lot of switching around in just four years. It's amazing, isn't it, to realize that Jimi's entire recording career was crammed into the four years between 1966 and 1970. Whereas, say, Peter Gabriel--God bless him--has released three studio albums since 1986. Such is life.

Kits:
1950s Gretsch Name Band in Midnight Blue Pearl (13/16/22/14sn)
1965/66 Ludwig Club Dates rewrapped in Black Diamond Pearl (12/15/20)

You are all wrong. These are English classic drums. The blue drums are Carlton - an English make that morphed into Hayman in the 1960s... have a look at this http://www.drumarchive.com/carlton/

and I think the bass is an Ajax http://www.drumarchive.com/Ajax/ from the company that made English Rogers - dunno about the snare
