K Cymbal Identification...

I believe its a Type IVa old stamp from 1957-1958

Thanks BosLover...I was having trouble with identifying the stamp. I have a few cymbals with the same markings.

Wow, very nice. Are you sure they are exactly the same. There are relatively subtle differences between the stamps.

Thanks, and yes, they are the same. This one is a 16" sizzle. The other(s) are a 15" set of hi-hats. The top hi-hat is cracked but the bottom is heavy and in good condition. I played with those hats from 1970 to about 1995 until the top hat cracked. That is when I hung them up in my studio. To this day, the best sounding hi-hats I have ever owned.

I find it helps to give reasons. I've annotated two features which distinguish the Hartrick IIIc from the IVa and have me agreeing that it is not a Type IV. There are other distinguishing features, but I've just done these two for now.
