22/ 13/ 16 Chicago badge BD and Niles toms. Boomy!!
This is the Display Your Slingerland Drums Thread
68ish Light Blue Pearl. 22-16-13-12 choc milk interior. Have extra 22 stamped Mar 66 with clear interior I'm almost down with to add. Also want to add a small concert tom in LBP if I can find one. 2nd bass was drilled for a Rogers swivo mount at some point. So may work with that depending on the tom I can find. Snare is a 70's Krupa Sound King. Just overall great sounding drums! This was my first venture back into vintage drums a few years ago. Wrap is very nice shape with all COB hoops.
Cool wrap!! Very nice set, Glenn!!
Cheers

Not sure I've shared these in this thread yet, though I have elsewhere.
BDPs set up as 13/16/20. I also have the 12. 12/16 are definitely from 65 (date stamp) the 20" seems likely to go with them. The 13" is 67-ish.
Love 'em.

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.
Heres my 15x8" slingerland snare that spent about ten years sitting around until I finally finished it recently. IT was a 12" deep marching drum that I chopped down and moved the re-ring down
I own only 2 Slingerland kits. This is one of them. 1966 Stage Band, 12/14/20. Bought it as a 3 piece with no snare. No wrap, no reso side heads, lugs or hoops, and all factory mounting hardware was gone. I put them all back in their factory fresh glory, with many thanks to my fellow forum members for advice and parts! I had no idea what color the original wrap was (there was a "P" stamped inside the shell but that's as much as I could find), so I decided that Green Sparkle was a good Slingerland color.
The "matching" snare is actually an MIJ with re-rings that had the exact Slingerland copy lugs that I wrapped to match. I'm keeping this kit, so the Slingerland badge is just to make the entire kit aesthetically pleasing by matching all the badges. I'm not, nor would I ever, try to deceive anyone about what it truly is. By the way, I have since added all the correct badges to the entire kit (some are missing in the pictures).
Enjoy!
