Thanks so much Grantro, really appreciate that...Got a couple more since then....
That blue one looks amazing. Love the metal strips on the bottom of the toms, makes a single headed tom look "finished". Very cool.
Very nice additions to the family!! How many Speedfires do you own now, diamond?
Cheers

Very classy, sir!! You should open a Trixon museum!!
Cheers
I'm curious diamond: Do you use both pedals when you are playing any of the Speedfire bass drums? I seem to recall a center board was intended to provide two bass drum pitches. If you do use that, do you find it useful as well as unique?

Hi Dan,
hows you buudy?
I usually only use the one beater and use the right side as i find this one can be tuned to a lower pitch better..also allows you to bring the snare right in close to you....this only applies on the Trixon Speedfire as the Vox Telstars I have don't have the divider..
You are right about the 2 different pitches due to the irregular shaped shell on either sides due to the sloping angle and various tensioning of the head...For the music I play never used the double pedal as yet...but never say never!
Thanks for that info diamond. They are a real treasures and totally unique in their looks. Always loved that oval shape on the Speedfire bass. Enjoy!
