Ludwig Super (Pre-Serial) COB/Orange-Peel Acrolite

Aaron - I didn't trust a cardboard box so I packed it in a hard-shell Ludwig UFO case for you! It's bubble-wrapped to death so the gorillas at the post office can bouce it off the walls if they want to, nothing is going to happen to the drum. :D

I'm so happy the snare is going to a good friend and someone who will enjoy and play the sh*t out of my drum. I'm glad it's going to you.

John

Too many great drums to list here!

Thanks Mark, it's always a pure pleasure to interact with you whether it's a deal or just flapping the jaws. I am grateful for the friends I've made here and from DFO. All of you are classy guys right off the top shelf.

As well you should. "COB" was in the title of the for sale thread, I don't know how you read that 'COA'. The price was so low because I always price my drums as honestly and fairly as I can, not because there is something wrong with them. I buy well and it allows me to pass the deal on to the next guy. I never look to 'make a killing' selling drums, especially to my friends at the forum. You missed out on a killer deal because of procrastination and paranoia. That's why it's important to check the feedback of the people you're dealing with before entering into negotiations. It's always good to know that you can deal with someone with complete confidence, it makes everything go smoothly and everybody is smiling at the end. Thanks for your interest in my drum. Maybe next time.

Big shout out to El Moonlight Drummer for being one of the coolest people to deal with. I love being a part of sales where everybody gets to smile. You're a good man, Aaron. Best wishes for you and your wife and the new upcoming addition to the tribe! :D

Enjoy the drum for many years to come...

In January I'll be 69. I haven't played out in five/six years. Time to lighten the load. I have 22 snares and half as many kits. There are only three kits I'd like to keep and about a half dozen of the snares, everything else will go piece by piece. I've learned over the years not to become too emotionally invested in any of the drums I buy and sell. I have a few that will have to be pried from my cold dead hands, but everything else can go to people who will play and enjoy them.

We share the same way of thinking about these things I guess. I've sold a lot of cool stuff. I try not to get too attached, but those Super Ludwigs are pretty special. It's the one drum I do regret selling. That Acrolite looks like some pretty serious business too. Rare! :-)
