Vintage brown, cloth drum bags 20/16/13

Loading...

For sale for $50: Three cloth drum bags made by Artistic Covers, NYC, NY, from the period preceding the use of vinyl for drum bags; I will guess pre-1960s. These came with an early 1950s Leedy and Ludwig kit, but are of the type issued by virtually all major US drum manufacturers such as Slingerland, WFL, Gretsch, et cetera. These are sized to fit the following three drum sizes: 20"X14" bass drum, 16"X16" floor tom, and 9"X13" tom tom. I would conservatively rate them to be in very good condition. There is only very slight wear and minor rust stains in a couple of spots on the felt lining, and a couple of snags in the outer material on one, as pictured. The zippers are entirely undamaged and fully functional, the plastic piping is not cracked and is fully intact, and the handles are also fully intact (I will presume because they were not used to carry the drums!). All sewn seams are uncompromised. While these are, by no means, intended to protect your vintage drums from the rigors of gigging, they will suitably complete a vintage kit of these sizes and certainly keep the dust off of them as they sit in your temperature/humidity controlled drum vault (or your cellar rumpus room). Please feel free to ask any questions specific to these bags, on any details I may have omitted. I will ask that the winner remit $30 to cover shipping, and I will fully refund any balance immediately upon shipment. I would be delighted to engage in an in-person, CASH transaction (I am one hour north of Boston, Ma). Please bear with me whilst I am somehow inexplicably locked out of my photobucket acct (???) and cannot post photos. I would be glad to send photos to the email address of any interested parties. Thanks!

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Have a price or are you auctioning these off?

People don't take kindly to auctions here!

Please forgive me; I forgot that "minor detail" of listing a price, but will rectify the situation. I just reviewed my text and saw no "To the highest bidder", so you have leapt to an unnecessary conclusion with your somewhat threatening remark.

Happy to say that these bags sold through another venue. Pretty unfriendly bunch here with your aggressively abusive comments and insinuations directed at me for initially simply forgetting to include a price in my ad. Perhaps y'all have had chronic problems with others, but that does not justify jumping to incorrect conclusions and misguided accusations of malfeasance.

No reason to get butt hurt! Your text refers to "the winner" which is definitely an ebay auction term. Ease up, this a "victim free" zone.

Believe it or else!

I am a millennial.... I am offended by this remark... ;) Laughing H

On a serious note, this guys seems like a typical internet troll. I would pay no attention to him.
