Eta on shipping orders ?

So , 3 months later, i'm still waiting for the lower part of my right Yamaha RC bass drum spur for my vintage Yamaha Tour series. I spoke to my buddy at the drum shop and he said the order was placed the day i called, which was precisely 3 months ago. Still waiting.. Paid a visit to the shop to find out if it was in, and still nothing. Extremely frustrating.

Has anyone ever had any shipping time issues with Yamaha, and is it normal to wait this long ? It seems that 3 months is a very long time to wait for such a small part.. From what i was told at the shop, the order was placed on the day i placed it, so there is seems to be no incompetence on the part of the shop or it's staff.. I would have found out anyway, since a good buddy of mine is the one who placed the order..

As always, any and all thoughts are appreciated..

cheers,

Rob

i don't have a answer for you. but since yamaha is not made in china (pretty sure, correct me if i'm wrong) it should technically not effect the parts department.

however i have customers here in so-cal who have come to me looking for parts (and online of course) because the time frame they were quoted was a long time. i don't remember what everyone said but being that i used to work in music retail, i recall it being too much time for what i consider to be standard orders.

guess your drum shop has to put the screws to them to make something happen.

If it's not in the onshore warehouse and they have to source from China or Taiwan it can take up to year.

I ordered up a Pearl MCX bass drum and it was 6 months delivery.
