I found this drum at Sam Ash in Richmond while there on business, and I must say, it's an awesome drum! Blonde Maple Finish is a bit checked. Sticker inside is in tact with 5 digit serial number. Came with 42 strand Puresounds, a needed cleaning up, and new heads, but WOW! Sensitive, and a beautiful tone! Cleaned up nice!

You mean phat snare!Yes Sir

I still love it! I've now tried it in an outdoor gig unmuffled, and inside the drum room. The range on this drum is legendary.

Reviving this old thread: I just bought a perfect example of this snare, but its a 1980. If I'm not mistaken, this badge was for 1980 only?

Correct. I found this at Sam Ash in Richmond in the used section. They told me it was a 1974. Since, I researched and found it to be about 1980.

Regardless, it's really an amazing sounding drum, eh?
