I am sorry but I can't seem to get the search function to work. I am looking for the post on the proper way to use novus to clean up the black diamond pearl on my 1965 super classic.

Thanks

Novus comes in 3 different formulas 1,2,3 #3 is for very bad scratches, #2 is the most used formula and # 1 is more of a light polish, just apply #2 novus to a clean lint free cotton towel and rub it onto the surface, let dry then buff off with another clean lint free cotton cloth.

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!

Novus ought to be paying a regular fee to the forum for all the free advertising we all give them! Stuff works though...

Too many great drums to list here!

Is there an Oz equivalent? I've never seen Novus here.

Check with the vintage car/motorcycle shops. Ask what they use to buff out clear coat paint jobs. Attached photo is a common product. On the chart it would be a Novus #4 but with very light wet buffing and a micro-fibre towel can be used as a subisitute for Novus 1,2,3. Contains no wax so for a serious shine will need something after polish.

Hope of some help.

So turtle wax is kind of the same thing as Novus? That's easy enough to get here.

As for ebay, yes I've seen it there and nearly bought it twice. But I was thinking there'd have to be something I could just buy off the shelf at my local hardware shop. Cheaper and instantaneous that way! :) If all else fails I'll plump for ebay.

My first experience with Novus was when I had a Jeep and bought it to remove scratches from the plastic windows on the soft top.

You can check the auto parts places for plastic specific polishes.

Thanks for the information. I was afraid I would have to sand the wrap and I don't really want to do that.
