I just read in one of his auctions Mattspickens is going to stop selling for a undisclosed period of time. In my opinion he is one of the best in the business and wish him the best.

Ditto here

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Was he not one of the most prolific drum strippers? Or am I confusing him with someone else?

Yes, only surpassed by Lee County Music, except mattspickens' items actually sell.

Yes, he was one of the most prolific drum strippers. But... I did buy from him, as he offered many of the parts I needed to complete a project.

Our forum members have gone the rounds with the pros and cons of those who strip drums for profit. While many of us did not agree, we did settle on the fact that an owner of said drum can pretty much do with it what he/she wants.

What I can say for mattspickens is that his items were as advertised and delivered quickly.

Too bad for those poor drums that will be parted into a million pieces .

Warning ... Avoid member statuscymbal here, vintage_collector on DFO , and americanpatriot10 on eBay. Email me for his name. All are the same shady guy who has burned me and a list of other members on both boards . He is also selling on Facebook too ..

In my opinion he has destroyed a great number of unique and rare vintage drums. Good riddance. No I have no kindnesses to impart.
