Well now a tour may not be the same thing as extensive sampling of factory inventory before purchase...no way I'm getting a shot at that! :)

In the end we all know it when we hear it, whether it's a nice old 50s/60s/70s or one of these new lines/other manufacturers. I know I like the idea of owning and playing Zildjians, bias from youth plays a part in that. One thing I notice though, in the Kerope youtube clips, the cymbals are disappointingly too quiet compared to the drums in the mix.

Very cool J!m, go for it! If they are indeed willing to let you try out a whack of cymbals for purchase, that would be extremely interesting to many of us, I think.
