Restoring North Hi Hat Stand Question

This is a long shot, but here goes..

I picked up a North Hi Hat stand and the top half of the rod inside is missing. Previous owner had a car antenna taped to the lower rod. I'm wondering if anybody knew if a modern rod for hi hat stand will screw into the lower rod in the stand?

I'll know soon enough. I've got one ordered. Worth a shot. I'll report back with my findings in the meantime if anyone out there had any similar experiences with this type of thing, please let me know about it.

Just saw a pic.

I assume you will access threaded sleeve by taking off this tube, right?

You can check the thread size inside.

Hopefully 1/4-20.

It's probably metric, as North stands were imports made for North.
