NOT receiving payment for a recording session!,

NOT being paid for a gig!,

Receiving a phone call when you're less than half way to rehearsal,

To be told "that your services are no longer required",

Just after doing a gig where i was promised payment&spent a month rehearsing with these "professional" "musos's"!,

The gig ONLY paid $40 each !,

which i never received as of writing!,

The recording session,

After the singer sent me a message thru FB messenger that "my/your services are longer required",

Saying "please don't defame me etc on FB"!,

I mean WTF?!.

While all of those things do suck, I'd say the worst thing that could happen, worse than having a gig cancelled, is finding out you have cancer and don't have long to live and won't be able to play gigs any longer.

This hasn't happened to me, but it did to my father, a drummer who played almost his entire life pretty much up until the day he passed 11 years ago.

So, next time you think that any of the other things are the "worst that could happen", think again and re-assess your priorities. Group Hug

I understand your pain, I too had a father who died from cancer, lung cancer. The worst part was seeing him suffer through chemo thearpy and radiation treatments. My girlfriend has had three brain operations because of a tumour and also had to go through chemo and radiation treatments. I know all too well the horrors of cancer.

Yep, I would gladly give everything away if I could bring back my best friend. He was with me when I was a kid just starting to play. He played guitar and I tried to play drums. Nothing matters, not any possessions we may treasure. When it comes to such matters, vintage drums mean nothing!!!

Brian

Just a drummer who loves all things about vintage drums! Nothing more, nothing less.
