Slingerland Leedys - pink sparkle

Loading...

Here's the pics some of you have been asking for.

The 12-14-20 kit is in nice condition, with the exception of the 12 - cracked shell and extra holes from a crudely executed tom mount bracket modification. Some of you suggested that it is probably salvageable - I sure hope so!

A few other issues, but nothing major. A non-original hoop on the 12 and 14. Missing push buttons on the FT leg mount brackets.

All in all, a nice kit. These are "before" pics. These should look real nice after a good detailing.

That inner ply split is real common with Slingerlands. I'd leave it alone.

The two extra "bolts" in the diamond plate is a very common "mod". So much so that it doesn't bother many collectors. If it were me, I'd get a new diamond plate and enjoy the drums as they are. That's a killer set.

(But it NEEDS a snare drum...._)

Nice looking kit - Should be sharp when it's restored.

FYI... I have a SlingerLeedy 16" X 16" floor tom in that wrap that I'm thinking of selling as I don't use it any longer. Believe it's a 64' so it's era correct. If you're interested in it, PM me with an offer. It's not 100% original (it was missing the leg mounts as well) but it's now playable and looks pretty good.

I can snap some pics as well.
