He is a professor at Cornell University who actually gigs more than me hah.
He is looking for a drum set with an 18x14 bass drum, 12x8, 14x14 and snare.
He has $1000 - $1200 to spend. He is looking at Gretsch Catalina but I told him I would post here and DFO and cymbalholic.com
He likes vintage, used or slightly new....I think a new Catalina is in his price range.
Doesn't need hardware...just shell kit.
I should have added he wants only traditional sizes as listed above.

Catalinas are great kits and won't approach his budget, especially if he finds a used one.
If he decides he can spend more, I'll be listing my Round Badge bop kit clone soon. It's a kit I made to 60's specs using 60's hardware and modern USA Custom shells, by both Jasper and Keller. Asking $2k, but price will be somewhat negotiable. 14x18, 8x12, 14x14 and 4x14 snare.

I have a Pearl Masters Custom kit from the mid 90's, natural maple, those sizes, + 6.5x14 matching snare drum. I'd take $1500 for them, shipped.
