Premier Dominion

I bought this one for 20 euro's. I fell in love with the lugs.

Found out that it's a Premier Dominion. 30's or 40's (pease correct me if I'm wrong).

The top and bottom snare system are beyond repair. I'll remove them and use the drum for a home made duco experiment. I'm thinking yellow and pink!!!.

I'll be needing vintage (style) throw and butt. Any recommendations?

for €20 you really got a great bargain. Get it fixed up and it'll be a real treasure. Premier made some fine snares back then.

Howya,

A fine drum, well worth some effort to rescue. Just so happens that there are a couple of (slightly later but still pre war) clams on Ebay currently, item no 252353237987. Missing the wire bars but should fit the protruding mech fixing points. Shouldn't be too difficult a fix ...

@ Spart, could you please post a link. I can't find it on the number you mention.

Links appear to be not allowed Sir ... However search Ebay UK with title "Premier vintage early '40s Dominion snare controls" and you'll find it.

Should be fitted as per the 1939 Dominion Major of mine seen below. You will need some replacement horizontal pins for wire attachment.

Very nice snare, I would restore it to original specs. Good luck on finding the parts 👍🏻
