I may have solved my Zim-Gar bass head logo quandry

Loading...

I have a compulsion to make a proper looking logo head for just about every set that passes through my hands. I know...I can't help it.

So the problem I was having with this nifty Zim-Gar set was that there is no available artwork on Zim-Gar logo heads. Even the ebay guy who does all the stencil brands doesn't have Z-G.

So what do you think? Problem solved?

I think that's a great solution! All you need to do now is install a porthole ;)

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

Can I see the badge ? I got an Idea I wanna run by you.

Nevermind, I see it, you have the blue one.

I have several ZG badges on file and only two have a logo on them.

First, Zim Gar Musical Instruments of Brooklyn NY had stave conga`s and bongo`s Made in Mexico with their logo on the badge.

Second, Zim Gar had their Drum Kits Made in Japan with their logo on only one that I have found.

Third, The logo`s are very similar, but I suggest you use the drum kit badge logo since yours is a kit. The blue round badge and black and Gold badges do not have a Zim Gar logo. Only the brass round badge does. That`s the one you should have across the BD head. I think it would be proper and correct.

The round brass badge logo would look badass three quarter up the BD head, across.

They had their string instruments made in Japan too, here`s a similar but definitely a Zim Gar logo inside one of their guitars. All instruments have this similar music store logo. I think that`s a harp in the background.

Yeah, Zim-Gar is one of those with lots of logo variations, but none of which I have found on an authentic, period reso head. have several collected, and may just choose one, though that is dicy - stencil logos have limited popularity, even when accurate to original.

I'm with oddball, that round brass badge logo would be my choice. I can imagine how thin sales would be.

You could probably use that badge instead of the Ludwig shield. Minus the print of course.
