If they are special to you then they are really special. Gorgeous kit too. I always get a little jealous of complete red sparkle kits since my 13" tom and 16" floor tom are missing a bass drum and have been since I got them. One day though, one day!

thank you sir. yes, they are very special to me. i purchased the set without snare from one forum member, then another forum member came along with the snare. both very nice guys who worked with me so that i could have my own vintage Ludwigs.

hope you find a bass drum to go with your toms. not sure but about a year ago a forum member named blairndrums had a 22" red sparkle bass drum for sale. you might check with him, ya never know.

anyway thanks again for the kind words. and good luck with your search.

Latz, I admire guys who actually play double bass kits, nothing wrong with double kick pedals, I dont use either one. But the two kick drums always look awesome. Makes me want to put mine together again.

Thank you!

hi larry, actually no, this is not a bill rewrap. this is the kit i got from nevin (surface) and the snare came from john (purdie shuffle). the wrap is the original and does have a few scuffs and scratches but cleaned up really nice. when i got the kit i had planned to do a tie dye wrap on it but everyone raved over the red sparkle so much i didnt have the heart to do it. altho a tie dye wrap is still in the back of my mind some day maybe
