Agendas aren't a bad thing, last I looked. We all have them.

And what was Chris Rock's agenda? Maybe he should take that same enthusiasm to the NBA, it's too black, we need more white players. Sounds rather silly doesn't it. If you're good, you're good, skin color shouldn't even factor in. He made a remark about two woman presenters that was totally unnecessary, I've forgotten there names, but he introduced the first woman and called the second one "even whiter". That kind of talk would never be accepted if the roles were reversed.

Regarding the NBA, nobody made the team as a result of a group of peers voting. Your analogy does not hold water.

Of course it was "necessary". It was "necessary" to point out failures are based on skin color not principle. It's "necessary" to bash the industry that made you. Only thing it's "necessary" for is to forward an agenda!!

The industry does not "make you". Your talent does. The industry only takes notice once they believe there is money to be made off of your talent.

I said it was silly and so is what Chris Rock was saying, that blacks weren't nominated because of racism. It's just getting old.

Every joke Chris Rock told was aimed at the show being too "white." It was an embarrassment and unnecessary.

I found that very strange myself. They had to keep drawing attention to it too which only made it worse. The people who won deserved to win. Simple.
