I may never need to spend big money on another Ludwig, Rogers or Slingerland. These drums look and sound great. The pictures are with a 13,14,22, but I also have a 12. My Slingerlands may stay stacked up awhile.

Yea that 14" does have a sweet sound. I'm happy it's part of a kit that is being used and loved.

18 Kits & 40+ snares..
Not a Guru, just addicted to drums

Oh, I didn't say I would never buy another kit, but if all MIJ drums sound as good as these, I may never need to buy any of the American big four again.

I buy American to flip and fund my collection - consisting of 7 MIJ kits/nothing else.

Now snares are a totally different story - though there is alot of MIJ in there as well.

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

MIJ's are all about maintenance and no overtightening. And the spurs usually suk. I'm practicing in my studio on a Luan Royce/ Pearl Export mashup. Pretty happy with it.

I bought some clip on spurs, they work great. This is my first real vintage MIJ kit, I've had a Pearl Export, Yamaha Stage Customs and an 80's Tama. None of those sounded anything like this kit. The 13,14 and 22 have re-rings and sound more like 3ply Ludwigs without the hefty price tag.
