Pearl Valencia shellpack - 1968

I have this beauty I picked up just over a year ago. Drum sizes 20/12/14/5x14 matching snare. It's in terrific shape. I don't have the cymbal stands, Hihat or bd pedal but I did find a bass drum/ tom holder (not pictured here) for it. It sounds not bad when it's all tuned up - surprisingly good. Proving (to me at least) that most of a drums sound comes from bearing edges/tuning/head type/ how much hardware is on the shell and rim-type as well. Just because the shell may not be of a superior drum wood-type doesn't mean a drum can't sound decent....IMHO of course.

I'm looking for a 1960's Pearl resonant Bass Drum head - 20" with Logo......if Pearl did put a logo on the head in the late 60's.

I've got 2 vintage Pearl logo decals that i had purchased for my Pearl President drum kit, which i've long since sold.

It's form Barhaven, the drum guy which Rimsnskins is referring to ..Because i sold the drums before i got the decals in the mail, they're now collecting dust in it's original packaging.. I only opened it up to have a look at the decals. They're still adhered to their original stencil sheet..

You're welcome to the both of them.. Let me know if you'd be interested .

Cheers !

Yeah, as mentioned above - the Barhaven guy (or however you spell it) - he is AKA DaddyNowhere on these forums.

But, he very much prefers for us to use his ebay listings. So, I would suggest buying a decal from him there. They are very affordable and of great quality. When I order from him, I buy multiple decals as I will need more eventually and in case his supply/our source disappears, then we would be stuck without. They are really affordable so order a good supply - and also save on shipping.

Great guy to buy from - and we really owe him a great deal of gratitude for taking it on and providing a much needed source to buy these logos - most are not available anywhere else other than him.

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

Sorry - forgot to mention - that kit is SWEET! Yeah, edges, heads, tuning - that's where it's at! Affordable old MIJs with great colorful wraps - lets us have awesome looking and sounding vintage kits for next to nothing compared to eras of the past.
