Camco would thread the holes in the wood shell (for the lug screws) ?? whats the advantage of that?

21 years is considered vintage, so technically that includes kits from 1995 and older.

I love the look of this set. Is it just a natural maple finish? I wonder if they still do this finish. Beautiful set .SC
Yes, natural maple. It was the standard finish for all their early drums although I've seen other stains on endorser kits from that period.
Never play it the same way once.
