Paiste 22" cymbal bag - How old is it?

Hi. I bought recently an used Paiste cymbal bag.

It has the Paiste logo and "Cymbals Sounds Gongs" sewn in the outside pocket.

There are two compartments, the big one divided in 6 sections by 5 dividers and other for hi-hat or other small cymbals and acessories.

It has a strap for shoulder carrying and two handles to use it as a backpack.

It is sturdy and appears to be a professional model since it has a very solid body, thick walls and a rigid bottom.

I'm just curious about the year of production, its value at that time and want to ask if you have any feedback about it.

Sorry, have no idea what the answer is to your question regarding age/ value. I just want to say that as far as cymbal bags go - that is a REALLY NICE one. It looks to have a considerable capacity, backpack straps, outside pocket for splashes/hats, and the 22 inch size is a bonus as well.

Either a real nice bag for you to keep and use, or if you sell it, I hope I have helped point out the many great selling points!

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

Well, I bought it thinking it had 24", the seller said it has ~ 60cm (it has 56cm = 2 inches difference.). This would be the perfect bag because I need to carry my 24" Giant Beat. Anyway, I decided to keep it because it is very sturdy! High quality product! I'll need another bag, in 24" size, but this will do the job when the GB ride stays home. Thanks

I've got the exact same bag.. Dates to probably early 2000's..I bought mine used for $70.00 Cdn., but it was like new condition..Great bag, very strong, with comfy padded straps and tons of room. I usually pack 2 mic bags, XLR cables, L-arm ride cymbal mount, duct tape, extra screws, cymbal felts, memory locks, tools, etc, all in the front pouch ! I've had mine for 5 years, no tears or anything.. Cymbals stay snug and well protected in their respective compartment pouches..

Mine fits up to 22", but i'm sure you can squeeze a 24" in their ok. High quality all the way !;)

Hi. Thank you for the reply. The 24" ride doesn't fit, I tried once. As I said before, I bought the bag thinking it will fit. The previous owner gave me wrong measures (I don't understand how he failed 4cm/2 inches). Anyway, this is a good cymbal bag. I think it will last forever due to its quality.

I have this bag, pretty sure I bought it in 2000 and it's still going strong. I can't remember how much, but it wouldn't have been much north of $100. I put five cymbals (including a 22") in the main section; hats and splashes go in front. I'd buy another—I don't think they sell this any more and it's the best one I've found.
