They should clean up fine with a little elbow grease...Nice score!!
Cheers
Congrats Chris!
Are these beech shells or this set is a school version with bakelized cellulose shells?
Cheers,
George.
They are all beech shells(thin shells with re-rings), George...i am looking forward to hear them;-) a friend of mine has one that sounds absolutley great!
I have three extra Tacton Floortom legs with it. I think i will convert this ugly long 14" Racktom into a floortom:-)

Good idea, Chris !
Your improvisation with reconstruction tom 14 to floor-tom have moved your kit in original "Tacton Schlagzeugkombination Modell III" mid 70's.
Cheers,
George.
Everything looks great from where I`m sitting!! Kudos to you, Chris!!
Cheers
That is a handsome set of drums. Very rarely see anything like those over here.
I take it from the name Tacton Schlagzeugkombination Modell III, thes.e drums were manufactured in Germany. Interesting that you not only located the kit but had extra legs for it. Looks great. Enjoy those babies
Hy Dan
yes the Drums were manufactured in the DDR Eastern Germany. But These Drums are great i tell you! Got that set plus -i think, Tacton Parts for another whole Set:-) just Need some Shells,-)!
@George
Do you have a Tacton set at home? If yes, could you post some pics?
