I've cleaned kits like that without using any sandpaper. Get Meguiars Headlight Restoring polish at the auto supply store. It's a white liquid and very easy to use. It removes all the yellowing and fading from plastic headlight lenses, and it works great on yellowed Black Diamond Pearl and White Marine Pearl, and any other of the plastic wraps we have.

You will need a lot of terry cloth towels and a fair amount of elbow grease, but it will get them looking great without removing any material like sanding does.

So I've now got everything where I can say I'm content and done with the BDP wrap. Final polish was Novus 2/1, which gave everything a great shine.

Still need to open up the 14x14 and re-install the script badge; need to decide on a BD hoop strategy (the current reso hoop is original, completely split, held together by the inlay!) - Santa brought me two hoops, but I haven't had the gumption to take the beautiful blue onyx off them yet. Not certain if it's worth it to try and find one correct Rogers rim for each tom?

Anyone have an extra Swivo hihat pedal? Trade for the flat base Slingy I'm using now!

8 replacement bow ties - thank you Beef DFO; donor mercury kick h/w - thank you kingsmusic; FT legs thank you mr fathead; SWIVO PEDAL THANK YOU LUKE cs1422!!

Wow..too cool..great job!..

To me..Bowtie rod Beavertail Rogers are the TRUE Rogers drums......

Very 1st thing I look at....if a Rogers kit is FS........No bowties?......not interested!

I know some people fawn all over Big R's..but to me..they are Near Beer!

And,just like about every drum company..a small window of time to find them...Rogers...late 63-67?

Premier...1970-75....

Slingerland...only the ones with COB rims/gold badges........

Gretsch.....have to think on that!....

Ludwig?>>Have to think on that a bit too....anyone else want to chime in...please do......

Pops,

Add this one to the mix.

14x16 Cleveland Holiday FT in BDP. Not sure about 3 or 5 ply, leaning 5, but who knows. nice low serial

High school kid got it with a set of TAMA ROCKSTARS.... (What the $#%?)

"Doesn't match the rest of the kick so I don't want it."

Was fortunate enough to contact him first and have him hold it for me, as I found that 15 other people had called him about it in the two days it took me to pick it up.

It can meet the rest of its brothers in a couple weeks when I get down in your neck of the woods.

Peace easy
