He's BAAAAACK

The eBay seller who loves himself.

You may have seen this before, but, here it is again -

The famous Slingerland "JAZZ SNARE" - yes - a one-of-a-kind snare on eBay. BUT - you don't get to see it. You do, however, get to see a picture of the guy who is selling it as he sits behind the drums. Obviously, this guy is a pro, sohe knows.

WELL - if this guy plays the drums - HE MUST BE AN EXPERT!!! He claims that this repainted, ply drum from slingerland is so amazing that you should gladly pay $650 - sight unseen - because THIS GUY- AN AMAZING DRUMMER WITH HIS PICTURE ON EBAY - tells you it is worth it.

Just skip those $400 Radio Kings with all original hardware and finshes, and other collector's drums - and buy this drum that he says:

If you want real vintage wood and something surreal, this old snare drum will give you goose bumps.

he goes on to explain the refinishing job: I gave it a gradient paint job - white to purple

AND - he declares this undeniable truth:

It's basically a museum piece so I'm not just giving it away! It has swam the oceans of jazz and fusion, rock and even death metal.

Actually, I was hoping someone would buy it just so I did not have to look at this guy's face again!

Sounds like his wife gave him the ultimatum: "You put one of your stupid drums on eBay or else".

So he did, and no one in their right mind is going to buy it... but he DID put it on eBay so there.

As you guys know, those ebay links go bad in a few months and I try and keep things all neat and tidy. so I have to delete them and add an item # and the listing.

Since I'm an expert in image enhancement I thought I would go ahead and see if I could clean up the photo, brighten it and determine what that drum is...

Well, you guys are really going to be surprised...

Ebay Item #200368157551

Description:

This classic original Slingerland snare has a special breath. Find out for yourself. If you want real vintage wood and something surreal, this old snare drum will give you goose bumps. Well it did for me. Has been my main snare for more than ten years. Has original stamp inside from 1962 and old label from the long-out-of-business Studio City drum shop.

When I inherited this brown-lacquered drum as a teenager I gave it a gradient paint job - white to purple. What can I say but it looks good and sounds as beautiful as it always did. It's basically a museum piece so I'm not just giving it away! It has swam the oceans of jazz and fusion, rock and even death metal. It's kind of my best friend. No room in the new appartment so, somebody else take it and show it plenty of love.

Photo1: Original Photo

Photo2: Enhanced with technology

I'm guessing if the seller sees this..... Uh ho

Dude! I am like so bummed out. I scourged that same Japanese divider. Major downer.

That was actually fun.

The posts here are getting almost as silly as Mr. GooseBump Snaremann.

I don't know if his wife gave him the ultimatum, but I gotta say that he definitely loves himself and thinks highly of his own opinion.

I guess I should not be surprised the way people in this country do things. "Mr. Common Sense" left town years ago, and he has been replaced by "Mr. Itsallbout Meee."

God help us, every one.
